Welcome to Woodworking for Kids. My name is Ben. I am a dad and teacher with a passion for woodworking and for getting young people involved in woodworking. 

 

I think that carpentry is a fantastic tool for teaching young people practical skills, resilience, numeracy, science, literacy, fine motor skills and planning skills. Over the years I have been involved in teaching young people carpentry and woodworking in formal school settings. Recently I have been beginning to teach my own sons some woodworking skills.
